What would you make from potential?
My interests in seeing Status succeed are purely selfish. Yours should be too.
What first interested me in the Status app was the multi functional QR code reader (website, chat link, Ethereum address, ect). For those of you who don't know me, I make image embedded QR codes along with other unrelated projects. Status has given me the ability to go beyond simple tip address QR codes and I enjoy working in the intersection between aesthetic appeal and functionality. This is my personal predilection.
When I see Status projects like the embedded chat widget, sticker market and subscription capability I immediately begin to visualize what I can make out of them. I'm very familiar with the buidl projects, I follow the developments. Most people don't. Most people in crypto pay far more attention to hype from trade callers then actual usability.
Personally I pay little attention to price movements. I think potential business models using cutting edge tech to gain advantage is far more interesting. Consider this, if crypto "went to the moon" and you sold off making enough money for the rest of your life, what would you do all day? Another reason to use time productively is that what you think is "enough money to last the rest of your life" may not go as far as you think it does. There was a show about lottery winners five years later. Most of them weren't doing very well.
Let me say the same thing another way. A question I always ask people before I decide if I want to give them my time is "if you got fifty million dollars right now, what would you do with it"? The majority of people can't answer me and most of the answers I do get are unsubstantial. There is a lack of self motivated people and an abundance of potential.
I see Status as a tool to advance my goals. I would like to see what other self motivated individuals use Status for. The more of us that there are and the more energy we put into Status has a direct correlation with how Status as a tool will evolve. Crypto is a fluid environment, and being in it's early stages our influence over how it develops is disproportional to the effect we can have.
In conclusion, ask yourself "how can I use Status to advance my own agenda"?
