Since Status’ inception, community has been at the forefront of everything we do. We need your help to spread the message about why the world needs secure communication.
This is the second iteration of the SNT voting DApp used to vote on Keycard names, and appropriately, it’s the community who brought version 0.1 to life. The project was delivered entirely by bounty contributors on GitCoin, and any further updates will also be community-driven.
In total we raised R113,135 (~48 ETH). School fees at African Angels are R4800 per year, so this translates to fees for nearly 24 of the 142 children starting school in 2019.
With Superrare's help, we have tokenized the first ever artwork from a school: a series of multimedia self-portraits done by the children going into high school next year.
The innovation lies in the new means of self-organisation. Tackling the problem at hand, in this case school-building, became as simple as listening to the existing caretakers.
We wonder, can you imagine having to build the class you study in each year? Do you have a sense of the obstacles these kids really face? And yet, there is such hope in each one of them, combined with a work ethic we have rarely seen.
